The Farm

The Appleby family have farmed for three generations at Bretforton House Farm, which we converted to organic in August 2000. As part of the organic ethos we grow as much of the cow feed as possible on the farm and refrain from using chemicals.

We have 280 pedigree Holstein cows which we thoroughly enjoy breeding, showing and generally looking after. We take care of them as they take care of us!

Bretforton House Farm is spread out over 800 arcres and is idyllically situated at the foot of the Cotswold Hills in the beautiful Vale of Evesham.

We live as well as work our farming and it is very much a family affair. Grandpa James and his son Tom look after the farming (with help from ‘Fairy!’ Amelie and ‘tractor mad’ Ollie), whilst their long suffering wives!, Susan and Nicola are in charge of the fabulous ‘Spot Loggins’ ice cream together with the ever-bubbly Kate.
